The SpellBound spellchecker XTensions module checks the spelling of a single word, of an active story, of an entire document, or of the text on master pages. It provides functionality and features not found in QuarkXPress' spell checker, such as allowing multiple auxiliary dictionaries (up to five) to be open at any one time, and providing for an exception dictionary (this is useful for implementing house styles to ensure words are always spelled in a certain manner).

Available languages: Arabic, Danish, Dutch, English (British or U.S.), French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Russian, Spanish, and Swedish.

Hyphenation XTensions modules and spelling XTensions modules are language specific and require QuarkXPress Passport or the QuarkXPress language for which you are purchasing. For instance, a German hyphenation XTensions module will only operate on the German version of QuarkXPress or QuarkXPress Passport.

Stylin' enables the user to apply certain portions of a QuarkXPress style sheet to text while protecting local formatting. Style sheets are powerful formatting tools, but applying a style sheet may remove attributes that were applied locally. Stylin' solves this problem with a couple of clicks of the mouse.

Stylin' uses a floating palette that contains all the paragraph and character style sheets for a QuarkXPress project. Click on one of the style sheet's names and use the style sheet to override specific attributes. The attributes that are not reformatted are remembered between each use. This product will improve reformatting workflow.

Stylin' stores frequently used settings for easy recall. This prevents the need to constantly change the Stylin' preferences. Shift + click on the style sheet in the Stylin' palette and a simplified dialog interface enables the user to select the setting to apply.

Option + click on the style sheet in the Stylin' palette to choose the attributes to protect when the style sheet is applied to the text. Once the settings are correct store them for quick recall in either of the Stylin' dialog boxes.

The Tab Grabber XTensions module enables users to select and modify tab settings without the need to edit QuarkXPress style sheets or change tab settings one at a time. Select the tab grabber xtension tool and drag a marquee around the page area to modify. Release the mouse and the tab grabber xtension dialog appears. Change any tab feature directly within this dialog box.

Use the nudge arrows to move the tabs around interactively, change the tab alignment, or fill character. Select the apply button to preview changes. Click ok when the desired results are achieved. The Tab Grabber XTensions module will even work across multiple text boxes, making it the ideal tool for those last-minute changes.

Finally a way to select and modify text vertically, anywhere on a page. With the Text Grabber XTensions module, drag a marquee around the page area to modify. Once the marquee is drawn, a dialog box enables the user to change to any character attribute.

The user can optionally change font, size, color, or even apply a QuarkXPress style sheet.

For example: change the font and color in the fourth column of a price chart. Never again select and change the attributes separately for each and every line.

With TeXTractor, export all the text in a QuarkXPress document or selected portions of the text using any text-export filter installed in the QuarkXPress XTensions folder.

Open QuarkXPress pages in Photoshop. The TIFF Export XTensions module saves pages or spreads as TIFF for greater portability.

Select the DPI for the resulting TIFFs so the resolution of the image is as great as desired. The exported graphic file is more portable than an EPS because, with TIFF graphics, the fonts are part of the image. TIFF Export even allows user-definable page scaling.
