Using a unique and incredibly simple graphical interface, the BackShader XTensions module allows the user to intuitively and interactively modify the settings of paragraph rules. Not only does BackShader enable the user to easily set paragraph rules, but it does so by also allowing values beyond those allowed by QuarkXPress’ standard dialog, and the settings dialog can be substituted for QuarkXPress’ own dialog. The XTensions module can also apply the rules to a style sheet (this is known as rebound).BackShader introduces a new concept in dialog buttons: the Click&Drag. These buttons in the dialog enable the user to:• click a button and drag the mouse in one direction or another until the desired effect is displayed;• click a button while pressing the command key to reset that button’s value (the icons of buttons that accept a reset action will reflect this feature as soon as the key is pressed);• click a button while pressing the shift key to link that button’s action to both rules (buttons that accept a link action will be highlighted as soon as the key is pressed); and• click a button while pressing the option or alt key to coordinate the function of two different buttons (the icons of buttons that accept such action will change as soon as the key is pressed).Manufacturer: ALEF
